Restoring a leather jacket at home
The leather jacket has always been at the height of fashion. Styles, cut, texture and details are changing. But at all times stylists love to use leather jackets to create actual images.

How to seal a cut on a jacket
If you find yourself in trouble far from home, buy an ordinary home patch at your nearest pharmacy.
Stick a piece of it on the cut of the jacket from the seamy side, gently ripping apart the lining. This will prevent the product from tearing any further, and you will be able to repair it at home with your hands.
Examine the nature of the damage carefully:
- If the cut is minor, prepare a thick patch slightly larger than the cut. For example, use leatherette.
- For bonding, use Moment or shoe glue to seal up any damage.
- Treat the patch and bonding area with degreaser or solvent.
- Apply a thin layer of glue to the surface of the patch and the cut.
- Place a patch on the seamy side of the jacket to the break.
- Smooth all edges gently, do not wrinkle or pucker the fabric. Place a flat, heavy object on the patch for 24 hours until the adhesive is completely dry.
- Then, from the front side, use a toothpick to glue the sides of the cut together, especially if the skin of the product is rough and dense.
How to close the gap

- Select the patch so that it is larger than the total area of damage on the jacket.

- grease is eliminated by rubbing the place with a sponge dipped in homemade soda.
How to patch up a hole
If the hole in the jacket is bulky and large, gluing will not help. Sew the area with strong thread, a thick leather needle and two patches.
Glue the pieces of materials prepared in advance from the inside and outside of the damaged area. Wait until it is completely dry. Then sew the patch around the patch with small stitches.
